Corporate Development Advisor to the CEO (m/f/d) – Investor Readiness, Finance Strategy & Due Diligence Excellence

As Corporate Development Advisor to the CEO (m/f/d), you will act as a direct sparring partner to the executive management team and the Advisory Board and report to the CEO. You will play a key role in preparing our organization financially and operationally for future investor processes. You understand how professional investors assess companies, what they expect to see and which potential risks they focus on. You ensure that we are prepared early on for all relevant due diligence questions. 
You thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution. By identifying gaps, challenging existing structures and implementing sustainable improvements, you help build an organization that is ready to operate at the next level. 
Working closely with executive leadership, Finance, Operations and our external advisors, you will drive initiatives that strengthen our investment case and establish the foundations for a successful fundraising process. Your tasks:

Investor Readiness & Due Diligence 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive due diligence readiness strategy for a potential growth investment round, in close coordination with the CEO, the extended executive management team, the Chairman of the Advisory Board and our external financial advisors
  • Assess the company from both the company's and investors' perspectives and identify key areas for improvement
  • Coordinate and prepare the organization for Strategic, Financial, Operational, Commercial, Technological and Legal Due Diligence processes and related content
  • Coordinate and conduct structured gap analyses and drive corrective actions
  • Build and manage a professional investor data room including all relevant company documentation
Finance Strategy & Corporate Development 
  • Partner closely with the CEO, the executive management team, external advisors and the Chairman on strategic initiatives
  • Support the further development of finance structures and governance frameworks
  • Analyze business performance, financial KPIs and operational metrics
  • Develop scalable reporting and performance management structures
  • Support business planning, budgeting and long-term financial modeling
Projects & Transformation 
  • Lead strategic projects within your area of responsibility that directly support corporate development
  • Optimize end-to-end business processes with a strong focus on scalability and investor expectations
  • Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Operations, Legal, Product and Engineering
Governance, Processes & Documentation 
  • Establish professional documentation and control frameworks
  • Ensure consistency and reliability of financial and operational information
  • Develop standards, policies and governance processes
  • Support preparation for management, board and investor meetings
Coordination & Communication 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Manage relationships with advisors, auditors and external partners
  • Translate complex financial and operational topics into actionable recommendations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive management team and Advisory Board

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field
  • Several years of experience in Strategy Consulting, Transaction Advisory, Due Diligence Advisory, Corporate Development, CFO Advisory, Private Equity or a similar environment
  • Hands-on experience supporting due diligence, transactions or fundraising projects
  • Solid expertise in using AI in analytical due diligence processes
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, reporting and performance management
  • Proven ability to analyze and improve business processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a hands-on approach
  • Confident communicator with management, executives, the Advisory Board and external stakeholders
  • Ideally coming from a Senior Consultant, Manager or Expert-level background with strong growth ambitions
  • Proven presentation skills
Languages 
  • Fluent English (working language)
  • German is a plus, but not a requirement
